of high merit, by new and established writers; to encourage collaboration
between poets and visual artists, particularly in book form; and
to encourage the publication of literature of a non-commercial and
challenging nature.

At present, Saturnalia Books publishes four book series per year which includes
the Artist/Poet Collaboration Series, and the winner of the Saturnalia
Books Poetry Prize.

Henry Israeli, publisher, is the author of New
Messiahs (Four Way Books, 2002), and the editor and co-translator
of Fresco:
Selected Poetry of Luljeta Lleshanaku (New Directions, 2002) and Child of Nature (New Directions, 2010).
In 2001, he received a grant for poetry translation from the National
Endowment for the Arts. He presently teaches in the English and
Honors Departments at Drexel University.
